The Gallbladder

The gallbladder is a small muscular sack that acts as a storage tank for bile(a bitter greenish-brown alkaline fluid that aids digestion and is made in the liver by liver cells). The gallbladder stores the bile to have it available in larger quantities for secretion(a process by which substances are produced and discharged from a cell, gland, or organ for a particular function in the organism or for excretion) when a meal is eaten. The gall bladder is located just below the liver.
